If you ever plant Four o'Clocks make sure you place them in a bed where they will be welcome forever, because they are not going away! My Grandpa gave me a start from his garden a few years before he died and that was about 15 years ago. These have survived hurricanes (Rita & Ike), summer droughts and winter freezes. I've even tried to keep them out by putting down weed cloth and weed killer a few times, but now I've decided to let them stay. I love the way they open up everyday about 4 o' clock and send their sweet fragrance throughout the yard.
