This is a pretty good description of our March so far.

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. ~Charles Dickens

My plant cemetery has a pretty good collection of pots to be re-used soon. I lost several plants this winter including a pencil cactus and a bougainvillea. Our winters are usually not bad enough to do much plant damage, but this winter was a killer!

I brought my favorite plants inside a few times to save them - including this little geranium.

In Like A Lion

Our first day of March came "in like a lion" with lots of rain this morning and cooler temperatures again, so maybe March will "go out like a lamb."

Yesterday it was beautiful though with very spring-like weather.  We took our little boat out in the river for a couple of hours and it was really nice except for some very choppy water on the way back home.

Lots of birds out enjoying the day too.

I love all the different grasses in the marsh.

We didn't see too much river traffic.

This one was docked thankfully!  He sure made me feel very small!

Hopefully soon we'll be taking the boat up to the lake to go fishing.
