We took these pictures a few years ago in Port Neches Park. These owls had nested in an old hollow tree, which turned out to be a bad idea I'm sure. They constantly had an audience because they were just so cute and not that far up in the tree. They are Barn Owls and the sound they make is a loud screeching sound not like the “Hoot Owls” that I love to hear when we're camping.
