Camping in the Piney Woods of East Texas

This is a few of the pictures from our camping trip last week at San Augustine Park on Lake Sam Rayburn. It was beautiful weather for camping except for one rainy day. Other than that it was clear and cool - actually cold at night. We had a great time camping with our son and we caught enough fish for a fish fry one night. I'm already looking forward to the next trip!

Johnny and Sadie trying to stay warm around the campfire.

One evening we took the nature trail which leads to this beautiful
spot that we discovered at sunset.

I loved watching the sun rays coming through the woods behind our campsite.

This is a view of the lake from the camping area.

Johnny and Jeffrey off to try out their favorite fishing spot again.

We had a great camping site and plenty of room for the Casita and tent.
