Pear Pie

LORI’S PIE CRUST ( My neighbor shared this pie crust recipe with me and now it’s the only pie crust I ever make.) THANK YOU LORI!

1 ½ flour

1 tsp. salt

½ cup oil

¼ cup milk

Combine flour & salt in pie plate. Mix oil & milk and stir into flour and salt mixture. Combine and spread out into pan.

PEAR PIE (This is suppose to be an Apple Pie recipe but this time of year I always substitute pears and we love it.)

4-6 large pears

½ cup sugar

1 tsp. cinnamon

Crumb topping:

½ cup sugar

¾ cup flour

1/3 cup butter

DIRECTIONS:

Peel pears and slice. Then arrange in a pastry lined pan. Mix the ½ cup of sugar with the cinnamon. Sprinkle over the pears. Mix all topping ingredients together until crumbly and spread out over the pears. Bake at 400 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Of course it’s best served with Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream!
